Apple vs Samsung: Apple plans to continue pushing on banning Samsung products

Apple vs Samsung

The current Apple vs Samsung dispute isn’t planning on ending so quickly nor it will be planning to end in the foreseeable future.

According to MacWorld, Apple is planning to appeal a judge’s order that denied the their request of banning all Samsung products that where found to infringe the North American company’s patents. In essence, Apple is asking the Court to deny Samsung the rights to sell several products, one of them being the Galaxy S III smartphone, in the United States.

In the previous round of this Apple vs Samsung battle a jury found that Samsung did infringe three of Apple’s patents and awarded the company just $119.6 million instead of the ridiculously $2 billion that they had asked for in damages.

Federal judge Lucy Koh denied Apple’s request to ban all Samsung products that are infringing their patents. In her ruling, Koh wrote that Apple wasn’t able to prove how would they be suffering “irreparable damage to their reputation as an innovator”.

The Apple vs Samsung dispute will continue because the North American company are planning to appeal Koh’s order to the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C.
