HTC M8 Mini smartphone specs

What smartphone specs will HTC’s M8 tinier cousin sport?

Finally, after a long wait we can definitely confirm how will the HTC One 2 M8 look like and confirm the smartphone specs. After some leaked pictures that seem to be the real deal, the new flagship device of the Taiwanese company will bare resemblance to its predecessor. The highly rumored finger print scanner on the back was in fact a second camera that will give the device the ability to make 3D pictures.

But what if you’re not that keen on having such a large device? Well HTC thought of that as well and will release a different version of the handset that will be much tinier in comparison. The smartphone specs on the M8 Mini will not be the same as its larger brother. It’s very unfortunate but to be expected, the “mini” version of any flagship device or phone will always have diminished smartphone specs compared to the original model.

The review based on the smartphone specs

The first thing that stands out is the “huge” 4.5 inch screen. No other mini version has ever sported such a big screen. Maybe HTC decided that if people don’t want such a huge phone, the mini version of it shouldn’t have such a small screen that it will seem ridiculous. This seems like a really good idea, the one thing that made me stay away from every “mini” phone was actually the minuscular size of the screen itself, not because of the smartphone specs of some handsets.

The processor seems descent enough to run any number of apps that you might want, it’s not flagship specs but it will do. The high number of the megapixels in the camera suggests that this phone will not have the infamous Ultra Pixel technology that HTC is known for. In summary, the HTC M8 Mini is exactly what you’d expect, a stripped down smaller version of the original device.

However, there is something new here, the presence of the SD card slot in this short list of smartphone specs. Every flagship device from the Taiwanese company has no SD card slot, to some extent it’s actually frustrating, but the mini versions always had. Also, it’s very obvious that this smartphone will have the new Sense 6.0 interface.

Are these smartphone specs any good?

In summary, the HTC M8 Mini seems to be very good phone, it’s not groundbreaking in its technology like some devices out there but it has everything you’d want. The smartphone specs are pretty much the standard for any handset nowadays and the bigger 4.5 inch screen is always a plus. With smartphones getting bigger and bigger soon our pockets won’t be able to handle them. Will you buy the HTC M8 Mini or the original version?
