The LG G2 update will be available by the end of March!

LG has confirmed that its flagship device will be updated to the latest version of Android, v4.4 KitKat, internationally by the end of March. Users have been waiting for this LG G2 update since the official release of the new version of Android but there’s a catch. Different countries get different release dates.

LG G2 update

The LG G2 update will be first released in South Korea

That’s right, it would only make sense that the Sough Korean company will release the update in its native country first. Unfortunately they are still unsure when it will roll out globally. Weirdly, next on in the line of release seems to be Saudi Arabia. LG Mobile Saudi’s official Twitter has finally confirmed the release for its country and it stated that it will be available by the end of January.

When will the LG G2 update be available for the US?

Right now there’s now word from LG on the roll out of the Android Kitkat update for the G2 globally but we can expect to see an announcement or just the update rolling out in different regions. It seems that the LG G2 update is slowly making its way out of Asia and into the rest of the world. The latest news comes from a leaked video of the device running on Android v4.4. It doesn’t specify the region, it just shows the device with a completely overhauled interface, but for now LG hasn’t announced anything yet

Also, another LG G2 update will be a special run of the device in gold. A Taiwanese publication spotted a gold model of the G2 at an online retailer in the country. But sadly there isn’t any word about the availability of this gold version to the international market either.

What to expect from Android KitKat

The new version of Android will bring all of the usual improvements, like Immersive Mode, the ability to switch between default messenger and more. One thing remains unchanged and that is LG’s custom interface. Every user in now waiting for the LG G2 update to have the latest version of Android running on their phones but it seems like they would have to wait just a little bit longer.
