Samsung budget handsets

You might think “Who cares about Samsung budget handsets?! I want the to see the big boys in action”, well, you’re wrong. One thing that Samsung does beautifully is cater to every needs of the smartphone market, they have high end devices, phones for photography enthusiasts, media heads and, you’ve guessed it, they have budget smartphones for those who can’t afford all of the above or just aren’t that tech savvy. Even though this act of thoughtfulness from Samsung shows the brand’s dedication to its customers, it can get really annoying when trying to browse through their catalog.

Now, we have a wider variety of Samsung budget handsets to add to the list. The South Korean firm has announced four new budget models, the most powerful amongst them being the Galaxy Core II. The GCII has a 5-inch WVGA display, a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, 768MB RAM, 4GB storage, a microSD slot, a 5MP camera with LED flash and a 2000mAh battery. Behind him in this new list is the Galaxy Ace 4. This model has a smaller, 4-inch WVGA screen and a 1 GHz dual-core CPU.

If we were to dive in this new release of Samsung budget handsets, we’d find at the bottom the Galaxy Young 2 and the Galaxy Star 2. Both sport a single core 1GHz CPU, a 3.5-inch HGVA screen and a 1300mAh battery. The difference between them is that the Galaxy Star has a 2MP camera and the Young 2 has a 3MP one.

All of the above devices come with Android 4.4 KitKat and the latest version of TouchWiz. Even though that you won’t ever find a Samsung budget handset, or any other budget handset for that matter, to stir up the masses, these devices have a reason behind their existence. Like I’ve said it before, Samsung tries to make everybody happy by having an immense variety of smartphones to sell and the South Korean manufacturer is cleverly using its brand recognition to make them sell.
