Now, individuals walk the streets with their head down watching their device, oblivious of their surroundings. You continue to search your pockets and have a mini freak-out before remembering where you left it.

Sadly smartphones have become more addictive than cigarettes, principally as a result of there being no true biological dependence on the device like with phytotoxin, however it actually will become addictive.
